Analog photography is no longer a relic from days gone by. On the contrary, it has been making a comeback for several years with a steadily growing community. This was reason enough for Leica to revive an old friend from the 80’s – the Leica M6. Reason enough for me to get to know this old friend again. The return to real photography, reduced to the essentials and completely focused on the moment, the light, the camera and the film… an exciting adventure!

As a lover of real and authentic photography without big retouching, I know what it is about to be focused on what you are doing. Specially since I changed my equipment to a Leica M, a total manual rangefinder camera now almost 10 years ago back in 2013, my photography has deleveloped to a new level of attention and awareness of the essentials. Now to photograph with an analog camera, is again a gamechanger and brings the photography once more to a new level of authenticity. At analog photography you have to take your attention much more on what you are doing then ever before with digital photography.

And then… latest when you have developed your first analog film by yourself, that feeling when you first see what you get then you recognize, there happens something magical. So for me analog photography has something romantic, something pure and raw, something that takes out the essential of a moment in lifetime more intense, more focused then ever before. Simply wonderful & unique…
