Obsession for Freedom – The Film.

As part of the production for my first photo book, Obsession for Freedom, I came up with the idea of capturing the obsession and search for boundless freedom in moving images too. As a result, I invited my good friend and filmmaker Daniel Michaelis and his team onto our set on the island of Sylt. Daniel and I sat together on the terrace at our accommodation in the evenings and wrote a screenplay that could not have been any more undefined in its realisation. The free creative work that I had set myself as the task for the photo book, was also to play a key role in making the film. Our aim was to live the moment in its authenticity and give spontaneity a raison d’être… and we succeeded in doing so too.
